PASELA is a submarine cable system operating within Indonesia, with landing points at Merauke, Tual. It provides dedicated submarine fiber capacity between these locations, supporting telecommunications, internet access, and enterprise connectivity. Indonesia, the world's largest archipelago with over 17,000 islands, relies heavily on domestic submarine cables to connect its geographically dispersed population. This cable is part of GeoCables' continuous monitoring program — RIPE Atlas probes measure latency around the clock, flagging anomalies when RTT deviates significantly from established baselines.
